Anyone know if I can legally keep a Tripletail from South Carolina waters ?
I can not find any SCDNR regulation on this type of fish.

i did not think they were up this far but what do i know. wish i could help. i will do some searching and see if i can find out.
just read that they range fro Massachusetts to Argentina so that shows what i know about them.
i know that you can keep them… but im not sure what the limit is
You can… We caught one last week under a pallet in 450 feet. Cool fish.

You can keep them,i confirmed it DNR last year.
you can keep them. you can find them from the harbor to the gulf stream. Look like debris drifting near bouys/debris/etc.- they hang on their side a lot.
All white meat and tasty.
