On Wednesday we fished straight out, found a good bite in 500’. Good dolphin bite, had plenty at lunch time so we put on the marlin lures but didn’t get a bite. A couple of the dolphin were grown fish. Picked up a wahoo trolling back in.

On Saturday, headed slightly south. The water had pushed in a little, and there was a rip with a decent weedline in 220 ft. Caught lots of dolphin trolling and some on the spinning gear (inshore rods–lots of fun on the 4000s). We had a limit of 40 at noon and put on the marlin lures again…just more dolphin which we had to release. Lots of slingers but a good bit of gaffers mixed in and one stud fish.
Worked the ledge hard for an hour looking for wahoo/blackfin but nada. Ready to get back out there.
