Woke up at 4:15 am and checked the buoy…was cursing the weatherman until I realized it was a storm cell. We let it passed and left the dock at 7:00 am. The ocean was beautiful, ran out at 26 knts and 30 knts back in.

Fished in the 500’s in 200-400ft. Lots of weedlines, but fish were few and far between the weeds. The fishing sucked for a while, then we found a good area in 250’ and it picked up. Ended with 10 dolphin, mostly gaffers. A boat next to me caught & released a nice blue. Fun watching them back down on her hard.

Nice fishing!

The plug on our trip was pulled at 5 due to the storms you mentioned.

We will get them next time. :wink:

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

Should have gone. It was a perfect ocean. Our fishing died off when the wind shifted east.
