Can anyone help me out with some pictures or a good description? Thanks.

I don’t have any pics but be a little more specific at what you need to know

Just looking for how to make the king rigs for free lining a menhaden or something and trolling a bait like a cigar minnow.

Try youtube if you want to make your own, I just buy mine, they are not that hard to make if you can do a good haywire twist

You can use plastic coated stranded wire with crimps if you can’t rig with regular wire.Just look at some or buy 1 or 2 stinger rigs and copy them. You can adjust hook sizes and length of stingers to suit the size and type of baits you’re using.I always use at least one King Duster, sometimes two to add a little flash and hide the hooks on real calm days.I like to use xtra strong trebles for my rigs.If I’m using a good size bait I’ll hook it with a live bait hook with 2 stingers or if all I can get is small bait I use a treble to hook the bait and 1 stinger.I guess it just depends on what works for you.Hope this helps.

I know how to make rigs with single strand wire, I was hoping for info about hook type, spacing, and placement on the bait. But it was too rough to go offshore today anyway.

buy one from the store and duplicate it is the best advice i can give you…and ditto on the weather ive been trying to get out for days now with no luck and several early morning turnarounds at the jetties:(

alot of the NC charter captains use stranded wire and tie the nose hooks (via square knot)(a small short shank j hook)and then stinger (treble)hook/hooks after bait has been caught to fit. also on single strand i put an additional hook on the wire between nose hook and stinger so it slides freely. use that hook in tail of livey, and let the rear stinger dangle. anyone can pm me if neeeded. been king fushing for over 25 years and there’s tons of ways to catch 'em
