Trolling Charleston Harbor

Does anyone ever troll the Charleston Harbor out to the jetties? If so could you give me some tips on what to target and how to. I’m assuming there are spanish mackerel there.

I did some near shore trolling last year for Spanish. Had most luck early in AM, best spots for me were around the sunken N jetty area, from close in to 5 miles or so out. Seemed like they were at dif depths on dif days, so i used a couple of rods w/ trolling weights and a couple with just the Clarkes spoons. once you get a fish or two you can move all your rods over, also sometimes they seemed to have a pref for either silver or gold. most fun way IMO to go after Spanish is to run and gun, have a small lure ready, i used my inshore red tackle, look for birds, head over, cast out and reel as fast as you can!
have fun

Don’t forget to tell him about the mystery fish you caught over and over a few years ago Doc Terry

Just brutal…

He’s worse than 23!Admin needs to do something.

Hahah, I was just reliving that the other day, too funny.
We live and learn, the mystery ‘rock’ fish was my learning very publicly😀
