So I’ve been making weights and lures since I was young for inshore but I have just started to get my feet wet offshore trolling. Thought the idea of immitating a school of fish is pretty awesome so I gave making one a try. This is 1/8 308 ss wire bent and cast in a 3lb lead head. It has 6 arms and 13 attachment points.
So here’s the real question does anyone here use them for king Mack’s? And what are you running off them? Speeds? Distance back? I’m in a small CC, is running it off a cleat a waste of time being too close to the prop wash?
It’s 26” across…hoping I don’t need too much more weight to get it down. Anyway came out good, took about 2 hours and I had the parts laying around.
