So I’ve attempted to fish for mackerel in the past and have been super unsuccessful . At least in terms of catching more than just a few. I’ve tried spot casting when I see birds, I’ve tried trolling with Clark Spoons. Just need some overall advice. I saw a guy the other day trolling with parachute cord attached to planners. Anyone ever try this method? Thanks to all for any assistance.
I saw a show were the guy trolled all the same gear but one setup had a 40ft flouro leader, one had a 20ft and the other had a 10ft. His purpose of the show was to show the difference leader length makes. He caught more fish on the 40 than other 2 combined and doubled. He said most people in his area do well with 20ft and others think they do good with 10s. His next comment was 10 fish might be ur good day referring to the 10s, but my good day is 50 or more sometimes over a 100. I’ve watched several shows and 20ft was a common flouro length.
I PM’ed you some techniques.
