Trolling for Trout
Went out today fished the incoming tide for about 2 hours water temp was 60 degrees
Tried trolling worked real well caught Fifteen Trout and five were keeper size biggest was eighteen inches ? photo is fifteen inches

I have caught a few trolling, the first time was actually an accident…forgot to reel in a line before I started paddling to another location.

Nice! I’ve only Tried trolling once and caught a couple small trout…very fun stuff

It works. The lower you can get your rod tips to sit, the truer your lures will run to their intended depth. Conversely, you can use a higher rod tip to get the lure to run shallower. Usually, the slower the better. I have many hits with the lures almost going nowhere. After years of doing this in a yak (and loving it), I use the against the current approach 80-90% of the time.
