Trolling in the harbor

Has anyone had any luck trolling in the harbor? If so what type of water depth? Weight needed? Trolling speed? Species caught? Thought it might be fun to give this a shot if possible. Thanks and advance for any response.

Troll for Spanish perhaps… but more fun to catch them casting. Plus, trolling in the harbor with so much boat traffic could be a challenge.

incoming tide, troll for spanish. Follow the shipping channel from the jetties to he port. If you see them bunched up, stop and cast to them. The biggest spanish I’ve ever caught was behind Drum Island

I have bump trolled the harbor for flounder - Carolina rig with a 4’ leader and a mudminnow , stay in contact or close to the bottom and when you get that funny thump - let the line go slack for a 10 count. You will go through lots of tackle - theres lots of junk on the bottom of the harbor.

Thanks guys looking forward to giving it a shot
