Got in the water right before dark and started seeing some scattered fish until running up on a mess of fish after about 15 min. Fish were thick and hungry. Caught 5 fairly quick fishing one rod about 40’ down in anywhere from 100 - 150 fow.
Surprisingly, all were keepers (4 @ 24" and 1 @ 25") and looked to be very healthy…not the snakes that can be typical at the end of the summer.
Hoping to get off in time today to get out there and try some spoons.
Nice fish…a friend finally took me fishing Friday morning…went to a hump (65-70’) out in the lake…marked a ton of fish…bite was slow but steady…60’ was the magic number…caught our limit of nice size fish…only a couple of shorts…live bait on downrods…a couple of turns off the bottom…very quiet day on lake…not many boats for a Friday…
