trolling motor battery?

So i need a new battery for my 55lb thrust minn kota riptide, I don’t use the trolling motor as much as say a bass angler, so I saw a everstart deep cycle marine battery in wal-mart only 70 bucks, I don’t wanna spend a ton any suggestions or recommendations, thanks!

I have the same trolling motor and battery. Had it for two years now and it works great. I have gotten 5-6 hours of steady use out of it on a windy day pushing my 17’ bay boat around. Never drained it, so not sure how long it would go. Of course, there are better ones around, and some will tell you how bad the wal-mart ones are, but I mine has been doing a great job. Especially if price is an issue!

Good enough for me my friend! Happy 4thof July to you Sir and everyone else!!!

If it swims throw a fly at it!

i use a walmart battery without any problems, but, is there any such thing as a lightweight battery? mine weighs a ton and as i season with age its more difficult to move around. guess i need one on those on board charger things.

I got a starter battery from Academy (Stowaway) for $60, and they have a one yr no questions asked warranty. It lasted 11 months, so I got a free replacement.

My trolling motor is run by an Interstate, which in now in its 5th yr. It will still keep me going for 6-8 hours, even in windy conditions. It is a smaller battery too, so I’ll replace it with another interstate. Those run about $120, but I think they’re worth it.

Interstate is all I recommend and use. Why spend 70 dollars every year when you can spend 120 and use it for 3-5 years

From reds to marlin you got it.
