My minn Kota kicked the bucket today out of no where… Can someone recommend a good (inexpensive) person/place to take it to get a diagnosis? I’ve checked to make sure it is getting power to the head and it is so its not a fuse or power supply issue which I figured would be the easy solution. Any help would be much appreciated… Kinda ruined my fishing plans tomorrow!
Man, I’ve never found any thing on a boat cheap to fix. That’s the price we pay to have a day on the water which is why I’ll be working some of the holidays to pay the technicans that are trained to fix all the stuff I can’t. I’d take mine to Charleston Marine.
You can’t catch fish on a dry line
The Crappie Hole in Chapin. I think Mark is the
guys name. He is fast and reasonable.
Charleston Marine has worked on my Minn Kota a couple of times and has always treated me fairly.
Thanks, ill go pay them a visit tomorrow…
Wanted to give a quick shout out to Chris at charleston marine…took the motor in at 8:30am this morning and explained my situation, had the motor diagnosed (motherboard fried), new one instock and installed, tested and cleaned up ready for pick up by 10am! Just enough time for a good hot breakfast and back to pick it up. Great guy, clean shop, good work…thanks Chris!
