I am looking for someone to install a 36v 112lb thrust minn kota on my boat. I have the motor already but I have been having a hard time finding someone to install it. As an FYI I have a Sea Fox 226 Commander and the boat is at Simmons Marine on Shem Creek. Looking forward to your help.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day. FISH 24/7---- 25 Grady w/ a couple of Gas Guzzling 175 Johnsons “O-SEA-D” the old “Havanadaydream”

Charleston Marine is the only Minn Kota certified repair facility in Charleston.
we install trolling motors regularly, as well as handle all warranty repairs.
a typical install is $300-$400 in labor.
the boat needs to come here.
if you don’t have a trailer we can provide a trailer as well as pick up and delivery.
you will need 3 deep cycle batteries, a circuit breaker, possibly wiring and plugs.
call 843-225-2628 and ask for Brian if you are interested.
we are also a Yamaha dealer, and can handle any of your engine maintenance or warranty issues.
can you be more specific?
if its under warranty, we can replace anything that isn’t functioning to standards, at no charge.
if its out of warranty, we can play around and see what is causing the noise.
I wonder if an I-Pilot trolling motor would hold my boat in position.
I think the dry weight of my boat is around 3,200lbs. Then there is the motor, gas, anchors, stuff…probably closer to 5,000+lbs on the water.
Sure would be nice. I’m working The Warden…telling her she wouldn’t have to pull the anchor any more.
(here we had a little picnic after finding a brand new sand bar near Morris.)

I’ve got a 23’ and love my I pilot! 24v 60" Used it yesterday, first to pull baits at the lake and after running out of gas use it to get back to the truck. sure beats paddling!

Do you have the 112lb thrust? Is your boat as heavy as mine is…wonder how it would manage my boat?

Mine is the 80#, never thought I needed the 36V 112#! Its not a Grady, I don’t think its the weight but the profile to the wind. I don’t have or want a T top it has a lot of profile. You might need the 36 V. It will change the way you fish, love the anchor mode!
