Can anyone recommend where to get a rectangular aluminum plate manufactured to mount trolling motor? Charleston area preferably. Thanks!

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING
I thought of something long after Charleston Marine installed mine.
I use a stakeout pole on the bow a lot and tie it off to the bow cleat. It would be very convenient if the mounting plate had a tab protruding that had either a hole or short tube welded in that you could stick the stakeout pole through to hold the boat in place.
If it were a piece of tube, that could have a piece of hose or plastic tubing attached that would fit the stakeout pole snuggly and wipe off mud as you pulled the pole out.
I may look into getting a new one.

Chris…you willing to give a rough idea of an install price (install the mounting bracket, wiring with outlets, 3 bank battery charger, 36volts worth of batteries).

I tried something very similar to that on my StumpNocker boat, had it fabbed out of SS and used my ground rod “stick it” pin through it… it is a better idea than a functional one… ended up just stabbing the rod in the mud and tying it to the boat cleat or rod holder.

Kinda what I was looking for was the price to:
Run the wiring from the center console with a plug at the bow,
Run the wiring from batteries to a charger
Install a rather typical mounting plate.
The prices for the batteries (36volt) charger and trolling motor…pretty easy to look up.
I’m looking at the Rhodans - I’ve been told I need a 36volt 120lb with a 72 inch shaft (my boat weighs around 5880 on the trailer…probably guess that amount on the water when figuring people, gas and gear).
I would assume a Minn Kota 112lb would be close and I’d have to decide on price between the two.
Boat Diagram with installed rigging tubes. There is no water tank in the boat…there is an empty space that’ll hold batteries
This open space is where I assume the water tank would have fit. I guess the gas tank is under there … batteries would need to be secured on the left or right of the empty box. This place is usually covered with a screwed down piece of plastic…I didn’t know it was there until this week.
I think I have plenty of room to install a mounting bracket/trolling motor between the anchor box lid and the bow…
I’m a pretty good rough carpenter, but I suck as a finish carpenter. I know many people tackle this kind of project on their own…I’d just hate to bugger up my boat and do an ugly job.

Thanks…around what I was thinking. Work is slow right now so money is a little tight…will see if we can get busy enough to pull this off sooner rather than later. The Warden is all in for getting it. Can’t wait.
