Trolling motor puck a little loose

Had i pilot 80lb, 60" installed at Chas. Marine I think last March, used it probably 4 times.I was getting boat ready for tomorrow and noticed puck loose when I shook trolling motor shaft. Not bad but never noticed before, will look at good light tomorrow, any tips or experience on tightening up? I know they will fix it but would sure like to use in the late morning at reefs if possible. thanks for any info. Its a Bulls Bay 2200

The GPS puck or the quick release mount bracket? Either way it should easily be tightened up with the screws used to install it one would think. If it has wallered out then you have a whole new set of issues… maybe take off the trolling motor and get a closer look if it is the bracket, maybe even post some pics.

if the puck is moving, we need to see it ASAP
it should be through bolted with lock nuts, so it shouldnt be able to loosen up, unless there is a structural issue with the deck.

Chris V- I took trolling motor off and tighten the 4 phillips head bolts in the puck, will pull motor off again today and check again and call your shop if they have loosened up again, Thanks for responding

You can’t catch fish on a dry line

your install required toggle bolts, so it is possible they pulled into the deck a bit, or even loosened from vibration.
just tightening them should be fine,
