Put in around 7:45 and had the first fish by the time it turned dark. First one was this 29". Caught at about 40’.

After that it was all smaller fish and they were biting pretty good till about 10. Got about 7 or 8 looked to be barely keepers or very close. All of them were more in the 30’ range…I had my downriggers, but they were easily in the range of a stretch or any diving lure with a trolling sinker ahead of it.

With ideal conditions, min load, flat water, etc…it tops out at about 40 mph
usually troll around 2.3 mph

Bluesman, make that 36/37 mph. I’ve always just looked at the speedometer unless I am trolling, but I went and compared it to my gps and I see now my speedometer reads a little high.
27 mph on a 19’ fiberglass boat w/60 HP doesn’t sound bad to me.
