Put in right before dark and immediately started constantly marking tons of bait balled up at about 30’-35’ and some stripers below. Picked up 3 shorts before I could get the 2nd downrigger down. Then it turned dark, the bait scattered and I never got another hit. I did still mark some fish while I trolled between 40 - 60’ after dark a couple of hours, but couldn’t get them to hit.
