Trolling Murray

I’m heading out on Murray with a few guys on Sunday afternoon. I’ve been out a few times over the past two months, but I’m still green on Murray. Thought I had them figured out trolling umbrella rigs and singles, but got skunked the last two times out.

I’ll try some live and cut bait too, but I’m wondering if anyone can give me some advice on targeting a depth and time of day for trolling bucktails/flukes/umbrellas.

They are starting to move into their summer locations on mid/lower lake humps. We caught them in 8-20’ on planer boards and freelines Monday morning then moved to a deeper hump around noon and caught them on cutbait. Anchored in 30’ with depths ranging from 30’-90’. I would concentrate on the humps if I was trolling. From the d a m launch up the right side to pine and other side from spillway to spence

Thanks. Should I am at cut bait or trolling during late afternoon just before sunset?

I am new to the cutbait thing. Mon was my first full blown double anchor chunking etc. I prefer downrodding live bait. The water temps will probably be pretty high by Sun afternoon and would be looking to downrod or CB. Just my .02
