What would be the ideal setup (bait, tackle, rigs) for trolling by the Charleston Jetties. Also what would generally be caught while trolling. Should I use artificial or live bait? – What types

I usually bottom fish at the jetties. The times when I troll I use small Clark spoons. I usually catch Spanish mackerel and sometimes catch small blue fish… Spanish and bluefish have some teeth on them. The metal Clark spoons are great for catching them and they will tear up a soft plastic too quickly. Spanish mackerel like your lures trolled fast I generally run the engine at 1200 RPMs which is around 5mph on my boat.
