Hey Yall, New boat owner looking to dip the tip in some that trolling action. I been out there with others but I mean any pointers on how deep to go to find the mahi. Thanks in advance.
The report in Offshore, from 5/05/23 they were in 450 feet.

Look for weedlines, grass.
Current/temp breaks too!
A modest temp break can be a day maker!
Even if it’s closer than you think.
visit the landings and start asking politely. Most will give you a general depth. In later summer I’ve caught them 30-40 miles off. The temp breaks and weed lines mentioned are great advise, but possibly watching for birds may be better.
