x10 might want to rethink that, forecast Im looking at right now winds 15-25 ese, thunderstorms 100% all day, flooding, high tides, hurricane off coast–however next weekend should be good, strong solunar tide chart prediction, should be plenty of structure change with this weather ,bars, troughs etc, then high tide at 700 pm , fish like to hit at dusk and the troughs at the high tide line will be at dusk and thats a good thing, but believe me Ive been wrong before, for all I know winds could be ne at 50 knots next weekend, it changes daily, but at the moment next weekend looks solid.Kingpin Bring you some fresh mullet too.If we can get some clouds and a little drizzle, could be on.
Yessir! Im gonna play it by ear. One thing Ive noticed about all of DParkers pic’s are that there always seems to be a little bit of overcast around. Not gonna lie, idk where to get mullet besides buying that Killer Bee stuff from Walmart haha. Like I said, I gots a lot of learnin’ to do!
I tried Tuesday evening, incoming tide. Currents were brutal, eaked out a couple of whiting. I was on a part of the beach that is usually never covered in high tide and got stuck wading through water with my gear to get back to the truck 2 hours BEFORE high tide. Have fun this weekend, that’s all I can say!
A bad day of fishing beats a good day of work anytime.
Kingpin the mullet have been pretty think in the surf lately. I always bring a cast net to the beach during the late summer and fall. You can also try throwing a net off public docks as the creeks are full of them now. Also remember like DP says, keep some whiting or blues that you catch in the surf and cut them up for fresh bait. Reds love it.
