I have been a lurker on here for a while now and I figured I should finally give a report since I had a great day on Saturday! My buddy and I put the boat in at Remleys point around 0700 and headed up the Wando, we started catching the trout instantly, I think it was about the third cast and we started hauling them in. We moved up the banks slowly until we felt a bite then hit the spot lock on the trolling motor and fish it for a few minutes. That seemed to work for us until we called it a day around lunch time. We caught 27 trout with 7 being keepers, I hooked a decent size bluefish in the head and one whiting. Caught them on the shrimp po boy trout tricks paired with a red trout eye jig head, thanks to Mr. Optiker and his report for that advice! Also used a vudu shrimp under a popping cork. It was a great day to say the least!!
