Thought I’d hit the falling tide this afternoon and drown some live shrimp. Wound up catching 18 keeper size trout on the Ashley. The weather was beautiful and not another boat insight. Had a great afternoon.

That’s good to hear. They are biting in the Cooper also. I couldn’t find any skrimps but they hit the finger mullet okay.Didn’t do as well as you.
Did you find them mostly in one spot and just slay them? Or were you working multiple locations to catch that many?
They were scattered around in pockets. Went back out today, and had just as much luck, but I also couldn’t find any shrimp, but mud minnows were productive.

Cork?
We did well on the rising this morning. Slick and hot! Caught most on artificials under popping cork. Fished about a dozen locations: moving clear water not right on the bank. Caught about 50 with 14 keepers.
Great report. It should only get better as the water temps begin to fall. I was hoping to get out this weekend, but it looks like I am going to have to wait.
