Fished yesterday morning and did really well despite us freezing our butts off… Mostly caught all fish on artificials using DOA shrimp(clear w/ firetail), Gulp Shrimp(molting and new penny color), and the new Gulp Jerkshad color(Disco Prawn)!! Caught most redfish around docks and most trout in cleaner water on tide rips and around oyster beds. Great day on the water despite being cold…

Fished surf at jettys, cape lookout nc thurs fri after the storm.
Fishing with pearl white gulp shrimp and curly tails. Caught a few trout but the guy standing next to me murdered them with the gulp molting shrimp. Kind of hard to get to the tackle shop from there. Amazing!

I have only been catching trout with live shrimp or mudminnows under corks and topwaterin the a.m. Haven’t had much success with plastics and trout
Capn Able can probably answer better for creeks as I was fishing in surf with jigheads. Plan to try both tomorrow. corks and jigheads. I actually was using a double jig rig off a triple swivel and twice caught 2 reds at once (15 -17 inchers below slot in NC), . That was a first.
