Thanks man!

Well done! I just did a seminar with Ralph Phillips tonight, and I was discussing how the fly rod is an excellent tool for trout in the cold water.

The more you do it, the more addictive it gets, The trout can get very spread out across our creek, so I just drift down the bank, trying to over a lot of ground, and it hasn’t failed me yet!

Enjoy fishing for trouts this time of year but rod n reel. Great job on the Fly!

Nice. Nothing beats catching fish on the fly.

Are you just casting to the bank and stripping back to the boat? Casting at docks? Working over oyster beds?

Thanks.

For the most part just casting at banks, along with a couple oyster banks. I haven’t done much dock fishing yet though.

Looks like a good day

  2. that thing you get just moments after you needed it.

I love the long stick just havnt had the opportunity as wind has been howling during the few times i was able to get on the water. What has been your most productive fly?

The Blind Squirrel in a Flats Boat

Olive Clouser minnow is what i have been using, went out again today and caught 8 on the fly too.

I live in the upstate and only get down to the coast about once a month–so I have to take whatever weather I get. Hoping for some calm winds on next trip as reading your post has me itching and a bit envious as well-----keep those trout on fly reports coming!!!

I wish I could have made that seminar! The wife had plans to head to hymans for unlimited crab legs lol.

The trout are all lit up right now, and I’m hoping it’ll keep as it is. Also getting anxious to get on the schoolies!
