Ventured out early on Weds morning in search of some shrimp.
We found some then decided to fish a bit, caught some trout and some sheepshead.
Solid day.
Even kept a few for dinner.

X2!
What is that sauce with the shrimp and rice?

“skilled labor isn’t cheap, cheap labor isn’t skilled”
Butter, Garlic, Whole Milk, Salt, and Italian Seasoning
Really simple, used Corn Starch to thicken the sauce.
Turned out fantastic.
I’m jealous of that sheepshead! I can’t seem to find them.
sb86,
Fish aged structure, if you can find a broken dock where part of it has fell into the water that’s great too. Yesterday we fished submerged rocks.
Anything with oyster build up.
I also keep it pretty simple when it comes to rigging, Flouro, Egg Sinker and a Hook.
Also I catch more when using a sensitive rod. My favorite Sheepshead rod that I own is a St. Croix Avid

Thanks for the tips. I went out to the coal tipple off Drum Island a few weeks back and got a few bites but didn’t land any. Same with Pitt St Bridge and some old docks I fished in the creeks. I was using cut shrimp as bait but have yet to try fiddlers or fresh oysters. Hoping to try again this weekend and have some success.
