Trout tail color

I have always heard that reds get their blue color from eating fiddlers (do not know if it is true), but i have noticed on larger trout that their tails are blue as well. I was wondering if this is from their diet??? If so what would cause this? I was thinking maybe if i had some insite on this maybe i could switch my tactics to focus in on larger fish. Thanks

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. </font id=“size2”>

Good question. I love that blue tint to the tails.

Every piece of tail you turn down is a piece of tail you didn’t get.

I always thought the blue tint was from that certain fish living in more clear water and something about the sun…

I know its something natural in the sand/water that gives the tropical fish their vibrant colors.
