They are fun to fish with but they do get chewed up really bad and only last maybe two fish if you lucky.
See if Chris V sells the Zman plastics. They are made from some type of “plastic” that is so tough its amazing. Only 5 to a pack but Im still fishing the same one from a week ago and have caught several 30"+ reds and hog trout and still going strong!
How should one jig the lure if they’re using a trout trick or a zman plastic on a jig head?

In my experience fishing the TT (12 years) trout don’t chew it up…trash fish do. When I get in them, I move. Bluefish will cut it off clean. After catching several trout, the TT gets what I call corrupted…slides down the hook. You can replace or bite off 1/4 " to get the jighead keeper in a new place in the plastic.

sorry for my ignorance but what is a “trout trick”? I have been living up on the lakes and Just got a new boat. looking forward to heading back to stono/north edisto for some trout fishing this winter. I can use all the tricks I can find…
