Trout Trick vs. Gulp Shrimp.

I fished the trout trick on 1/8 jig buddy fished gulp shrimp on 3/8 jig head. Ended the day with 40 fish. We pretty much went fish for fish. I would say the tt definitely catches fish but I think they are biting just about anything right now. On another note all the trout kept had empty stomachs.

Agreed. There’s a lot of hype regarding TT’s, but I think they’ll hit a turd on a hook right now.

I look forward to getting out there and hooking a few trout

Let me know if they work Bonzo!

A hard one would probably work on topwater

Kept a few last weekend and noticed that myself. I was surprised. What does that mean?

I don’t know what that means. I know most of the winter they don’t eat but it seems early to me. I’m sure if none of us are catching any shrimp none of the trout are eating them either though. Had a buddy tell me he caught a few last week that had been feeding on glass minnows though.

Probably means the bait is scarce that’s why they are pouncing on the Artie’s

Small shrimp are thick right now in both rivers (N & S Edisto). They are making a mass exodus out of the creeks toward bigger waters with these cold nights. DOA shrimp are king around here right now for trout.

last i tried on base i caught several and kept 2. 1 had an empty belly other a shrimp…both fish on a mullet colored jig on a 1/2 oz jig since i couldnt get the tt anywhere near the bottom where the trout were at.

Bonzo - If that works with a dog variety, we can make a fortune in my yard!

Try the scented ones that are tapered on both ends!

(sorry, I couldn’t resist).

they have to be tapered turds…and floaters work best for topwater action…thinking of using a weedless worm hook…or stick with the jighead?
