Trout tricks don't work

No sir, not at all!

Got this girl this afternoon. High sun, in 1 foot of water. This was a surprise for sure. I’m just starting to learn that these gators hang out real skinny sometimes. Taped out at 20.75"

Took a quick couple pics and released her.

Dang Dave, that first one looks like a hog. Or, are you doing the secret angle shot? You’re killing them.

Nice trout. Think I need to pick up a TT.

They put 2 flattys in my boat today! Live shrimp, finger mullet produced nothing for me. Love me some TT!

Doug, it’s the same fish. I was solo so was trying to get a pic with the 10 sec timer! Not easy to do. I’m good at Photoshop though! Lol

Good job as usual, Op. I’m sure the Trout Trick helped, but you flat-out know how to catch fish. You’d probably do just as well with hotdogs! Awesome, man…

You’re right there BB, Dave just needs some string and a safety pin. Or maybe a sheepclip.

Thanks guys. Idk I still feel like I have so much to learn. But that’s what makes it fun!

I don’t think they work. I fished today on the incoming tide. I fished under trees, around submerged trees, and in many different spots. Cast, let drop (1,2,3,4,5), then twitch, keeping rod tip up. Not the first hit.

Dude, trust me they do work. I have caught fish with them. Not every time but I have caught trout, reds and even a flounder. Keep trying.

Used trout tricks for the first time this weekend and will use them again. Found a grass lined creek mouth on the outgoing tide about 4 hrs until low. Pitched the trout trick out, let it sink, them sloooooowly reeled in, twitched it and let it drop every once in a while and caught several small trout within about 30 mins. I had a c-rig with shrimp and a popin cork with shrimp not 20 ft away that produced little to nothing. These fish ate the tricks whole, and hit hard. We moved on and targeted other species but I will use them again.
