Trout tricks & reaction bite

Yesterday for a while the trout were reacting as Bob has mentioned. Hitting with their mouths closed. They would only hit trout tricks. I found them when I hooked one in the forehead of all places! This was near high tide.

When the tide started out and moving a little bit, they turned on.

Also had a trout knock the lure two times. Eventually I was able to fool him. A very pretty trout - very spotty

Ended a few hour trip with about 20 trout. All but one on trout tricks (1 OTF), and all released. 3 were around 2#

Enjoyed the trip, Vinman! Let’s do it again soon.

That was fun, Opti. Enjoyed scouting some new areas with you. You are a submerged structure ninja.

3/4 at least were over slot, but we released them all. Fat boys! one 18" trout and you’d be stuffed!
