Going out this Sunday in the kayak looking for trout, or flounder.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Anchor or tie up tightly…I hooked up with a big black drum under the IOP connector and i went for a ride!

Must have been one heck of a ride! What did you catch him on? What about the tide, rising or falling, or even a factor? What kind of yak are you in?

I caught him on cut shrimp, dropped it on a carolina rig beside a dolphin piling, and kinds jigged it up and down…I believe it was high tide going out that day. I had a Mallard 1 person kayak at the time…
Yeah it scared me because i didnt know what i had until i saw it right next to me…about 1 1/2 ft away…for all i knew it could have been a shark.
Yeah, a shark from a kayak would scare me pretty good too. I wouldn’t know whether to cut the line or play him. I guess I would try to at least get my Carolina rig back. Of course, if he was big and mad, he could have my rod and reel and I’ll just paddle home!

Went out today to Beresford Creek, in the kayak and caught two nice keeper trout.

I caught them on a space guppy, as the tide was falling. I was fishing the mouth of Beresford Creek on the Cooper River side.

A space guppy is a grup that is made by Shad Assasin I think.
It is chartruese(sp) and clear on one side with gold sparkles in it.
