TroutTrick Beatdown

After several obligations and appointments, I was able to make it out on the water (N. Edisto) for the last 3 hours of daylight to try to catch a few trout for dinner. Wind was SE 15mph which made it difficult to fish the main river points. Started with DOA under a float, then switched to plastics on 1/4 oz. heads on 5 spots I know have been holding schools of trout. 1st hour, 5 trout. 1 keeper. Wind dropped a little at about 5:00, and I decided to go back through my “milk-run” on the main river, but this time with the TroutTrick. Immediately, the bite was on. Ended up with 35-40 trout. Nothing over 17" but 15+ keepers. Visibility was 2+ feet which is WAY better than it has been with the previous new moon tides. Just one of those days where they were very dialed in to a specific bait. Most fish were spitting up 2-3" glass minnows when brought aboard. It’s VERY rare when they turn their nose up at DOAs, but even the pinfish weren’t messing with them.

Nice!
