Truck Battery

Any one know what size CCA battery I need for a 2004 Dodge 5.7 Ram? Can’t find the specs in my owners book! I guess I could look on the old original one that’s in it. Am just trying to price them on the web!

I don’t know off hand, but if you go to Advance or Autozone’s website, you can input your vehicle model and search specifically for parts for it. For most Dodges, I’ve found it helpful to replace the Dodge at the same time you replace the battery, seems to be the best way to fix it. ducks and runs

I don’t know matt! I only have 62000 on it and this is the only thing I’ve had to do to it besides the run of the mill stuff! And it looks like a truck and not some Yuppie wantabe and it has a Hemi:wink: Wait, that wasn’t you that drives a Tundra was it:question::face_with_head_bandage:

Hell yea, mine too. I call mine “The country boy Cadillac.”

Lol I know. Actually I do not own a Tundra, I have a 24 year old GMC 1500. You don’t see many 24 year old Dodges running around. My old Sierra has a lot of issues, sure, but he keeps on running despite my abuse.

I will say this, the Ram is (my opinion) about the nicest looking production model truck ever. But they have a long, long reputation of building glitchy transmissions and headgaskets, and they have a very long row to hoe to make up before they’d earn my trust back. That, and the price! Oh man.

Count the number of Chrysler products you see broken down on the road. As often as not, they equal the number of “everything else” you see broken down, even though they aren’t even close to being half of the market. And, they aren’t usually old vehicles.

BTW sorry to hijack your thread :sunglasses:. If anyone wants to fight over this, meet me at Bojangles in Summerville at 3:00. Even though I’m positive that I would likely get my rear end kicked, I’m also just as confident that the Dodge owners will break down before they can get there. :face_with_head_bandage:

matt, where do you find enough junk yards to keep that thing running:question: I went out and put a 890 CCA Die Hard in it this morning.

Lol I know what you mean. Every time I think I’ve found a good junk yard for my old GMC, turns out that it’s overflowing with Dodges instead.
