2000 something chevy, replaced the radio. Now it has a whine and noise from the speakers. Grounding, filter? Help?
If it sounds whinny when the engine is running, you have a grounding problem. I suggest that you add another ground wire to get good connection.

Definitely make sure the head unit is grounded well. Then look into adding a “ground loop isolator” if the actual ground doesn’t help! Then if none of that helps, you can try adding snap on ferrites/toroids at the speakers themselves.
