Anyone have any experience with these coolers? They seem cheaper and as solidly built as the Yetis and Engels with more options as to hinges and whatnot.

no, but i have never heard of them. they look pretty sturdy in the photos. I want a good, durable cooler but just dont like the price tags on the yetis/engels. i would love to see one in person. any idea where i can do that?
Not sure. I just saw this online and it seems they use the same processes and similar materials. I think the only thing that beats a Yeti is the price tag, weight and options that come on these True Blues. I’m considering one of the smaller (50ish) coolers but it’s hard to beat my $50 Marine 54quart Igloo that keeps ice for 3 days…

Never heard of them. I bought one of those 250 qt Outer Banks coolers from Boater’s World when they were going out of business…had a big scratch on it and was able to talk the manager down to 120 bucks. The True blue coolers look pretty well built. Would like to see one in person.
The Denali models are the only ones that look close to Yeti to me. They have the thicker lid insulation, but we don’t know how dense this insulation is. Also don’t see any pics of the interiors of the coolers for some reason or the lid seals.
I see several things that are easily breakable on these. The drain plug has screws that can (WILL) come lose, and the hinges aren’t continuous across the whole lid and will eventually slip in and out side to side possibly. The latches also are not as durable as the Yeti style… again they appear to rely on screws, which WILL strip out of the rotomolded plastic eventually. The foam has no holding power on screws. The only thing holding those screws is the outer shell of the cooler.
I think you’ll get what you pay for… the soft feet on the Denali series is worth paying a little more for IMO.
The yeti cooler I have continues to impress me, and I cannot say that I have ever regretted paying what it cost. It is worth it. I have about 3-4 other coolers that have lasted less than a year before being broken. I repair and continue using some, but it doesn’t matter what I do with the Yeti- it stays the same.
The seal on the cooler is so good that if you open the drain and let a little water out at the end of a day of opening and shutting it on the boat, and then shut the drain, the vacuum on the lid will make it impossible for you to open it without opening the drain again while you attempt to open the lid.
One tip with any of these coolers. If you cool them down in the house overnight before using them, you will get twice the performance. Since they seal so well, if you’ve had the cooler in the sun for a week and dump a bag of ice into it, it will actually melt the ice as if it were in an oven. They retain their inside temps extremely well.
I’ve had the power go out and fill the yeti up with stuff out of the inside freezer. A day later, open it up and there isn’t even any frost on the outsides of anything I had in there.

Why do all the people in the TrueBlueCooler ads look like Mormons? Not that there is anything wrong with that.
I think like the bottom of the yosemite series my self. Good point on the screws. i would take them out and epoxy the hinges back on and then replace the screws after dabbing them in epoxy. Then, they would be there for a very long time. They may even break before coming off. If I spent the money on a yeti i would store it in my bedroom to make sure it stayed safe.
Thanks Phin for the pre cooling tip, my Outer Banks ain’t no Yeti, but it serves the purpose…and for the price, well…

the built in one that doubles as my boat seat keeps ice for a couple of days. way way longer than i am on the boat at a time. I was thinking of getting a small one for work and maybe for my boat occasionally.
There is a good website that does a cooler comparison . It’s on sportsman guys.com under high end cooler
