Where would be a good place to put in at to give a yak a test run.
Fishing or just paddling it to test it out ??
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

Shem Creek is a good place to fish and to paddle to try out, I wouldn’t advise it on a weekend, just because of the size and how many people frequent that ramp, but during the week, easy in and out spot

depends on where you live. on james island i would recommend bowens island launch, easy in and out and can fish and paddle both ways on andy given tide
There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the mud minnow.
Shem creek can be intimidating if you haven’t been out much. If you do make sure you go north and not toward harbor if your not used to it to avoid boaters, none go north often.
We’re stuck between Barack and a hard place. Hide their food stamps under their working boots.

Ha good input Shaun, yeah don’t go towards the Harbor, and for Bowens Island, I didn’t say there because you have to pay, might as well put in at Folly River

Thanks for the suggestions I took yakman72’s idea and stayed close to home went to Bushy park for a quick paddle. Took the poles with me just to see how things would handle casting and moving around again thanks and I can’t wait to get out there and fish and meet people from this forum.
