Trying to catch some fish tomorrow!

I’m kinda new to fishing here but not new to fishing at all. I just go stationed here and used to live in Florida so I’m very familiar with inshore fishing. I’m stuck on land for now and was thinking about trying to surf fish tomorrow morning even though it will be a lol chilly! Where else could I try maybe for some trout or sheepshead

Mt. P waterfront park might be a descent bet if you’re stuck on land. Welcome to Charleston and thank you for your service.

Yep that’s it

just fyi, surf fishing might be a little slow this time of year. This time of year, i’d at least recommend getting in a kayak and getting out and about a creek to fish different kinds of structure and points. you’ll have to move around to find them as they won’t be spread out and in the surf like in warmer months. When it warms up, there are a few weeks here and there where the surf fishing is on fire, and then it will cool down a bit for the rest of the summer.

And yeah the mt. p bridge would be a decent bet as well… more likely to catch something there than in the surf.

crazy tides this weekend are gonna make fishin from land tricky…

“mr keys”

Today was not a successful day. We went to Folly and got there around 730 and saw how fast the water was moving and the surf was too rough. We ended up fishing downtown near the end of Market street with no luck. If I had some room to store a kayak I definitely would. But me and some friends might get a boat soon depending on circumstances. I may try bass fishing tomorrow I can always catch a dozen or so no matter what the weather is like.

Post in the match up section.
I know I’m always looking for someone to go with me.
