Trying to Find Corrugated Drain Hose

I found a cracked hose that drains the cockpit of my boat to the through hull connector on the transom. I’ve looked on line and called a couple of marine stores but haven’t found a replacement.

The connector diameter is approximately 1 1/2 inches and the hose on there is a really tight fit. Maybe it’s glued/sealed somehow. I would also like to know if there’s a trick to getting the new hose onto the through hull.

Thanks for any help.

Check locally with Charleston Rubber & Gasket or Allen & Webb for the hose they may have it. You need to heat the end of the hose with a hair dryer or heat gun and that will make it easier to slide on

Go online and google McMaster-Carr, they have every type and size
hose you can imagine + quick delivery , usually 1-2 day.

You can get equivalent reinforced hose at Lowes or Home Depot. It’s just a drain line, nothing special. Use a little liquid dish soap and water to lubricate it to slip on the fitting.

^^^ X2. I use “Dawn” dish washing liquid lots of times when I need to slip a hose onto a barb that’s a tight fit. Dawn is really slick, it will naturally dry out and actually act as a sealant once it does.

its just standard drain hose, we stock it, and my guess would be most other places would as well

Just a thought. Someone told me a pretty good idea before; double up on the hose clamps where it allows. It’s a little added security to keep the hoses from coming off.

Why not cut the end off at the split then pull and re-attach?

It’s in pretty good shape for the shape it’s in!

That was my first thought but it’s too short - just enough hose to make the connection as is.

Sundance responded to my inquiry w the part info and I ordered it from them.

Go to Lowes and get a replacement washing machine hose for $12 very durable and comes in a long length so you can cut it off to fit.
