As stated previously I am still voting this an alias trying to stir the pot. If not that boat looks awfully small for the 7 different anglers pictured.

I only count five. One in the second took his glasses off, and one put his shirt on with same watch on left arm. Y’all are some paranoid people…
I HAVE BEEN READING THE MESSAGE BOARD FOR SEVERAL YEARS. YOU GUYS ARE A HOOT. FOR THE RECORD, I HAVE PROPERLY RELEASED EVERY STICK FISH I HAVE EVER CAUGHT. THE YOUNG BOY IN THE PICTURE, IT WAS HIS FIRST SAIL AND IT WAS CAUGHT IN 800’ON 5/24. THE DOLPHIN 39 WERE CAUGHT 5/7. I POSTED THEN. I JUST FIGURED OUT HOW TO POST PICTURES YESTERDAY. I ALSO HAVE A VIEDO OF THE SAIL SWIMING OFF.
I HAVE BEEN EVERY WHERE BUT THE ELECTRIC CHAIR, AND SEEN EVERY THING BUT THE WIND
Premix, relax ! der’s alot of pot stirrers round here. Please do not show your sail swimming off. All sails pictured out of the water are used for crab bait. Got it!Looks like a very nice day on the pond!
Yankee, you a vet?
Scoutin for Goodies…So, why are contractors who are risking their lives just like any soldier not the same in your book?? A majority of us are former military men like myself (former Navy SEAL) who either retired, or where medically discharged from the military (like myself, I lost 90% of my hearing after being blown up in two IED’s). If I could still be in the SEALs I would, but instead I still want to and feel the need to serve my country in ANY wway i can…so what if the money is a little better, i still risk my life everyday to protect the lives of many important diplomatic figures like John McCain, Condi Rice (both of whom I have ran protection for) and many others…Just my two cents, and Id love to talk about it…Can’t wait to get back to Charleston, and get out on the water!!!

Not saying anything personal about you ktpus, but I know a few former seals myself. I work for a DOD contractor and after a while you get to know alot about some of these guys that you work with on a day to day basis for years at a time. One in particular I’m pretty good friends with (I know his family and have played with his kids and we hang out sometimes), that kind of thing. The only reason I mention this to you is that one defining characteristic of him is that he gives off the impression that he is extremely honorable and humble and doesn’t boast about the fact that he was at one time a seal or try to use that fact to gain anything, being that instant respect or otherwise. And he would never never in a thousand years post that he was a former seal on a public website; it just isn’t in his character. And even though we beg him to tell us all the cool adventures he had and places he we
I was simply replying to the fact that on this website, you find it appropriate to take a crack at someones occupation? In this case a contractor?? Do you see me or anyone else taking a stab at others occupation here?? And frankly, alot of contractors are former military, and as you know they made huge sacrifices spending months, and years overseas defending our great country, and making a **** salary…So if they choose to get out and contract to “get rich” they have definitely earned that right in my eyes…maybe Im wrong…and as for my former occupation, I am very proud of what I was, and what I accomplished…yes, some choose not to talk about it, but if you ask anyone that knows me, I too do not like to discuss it, and will divert the conversation to elsewhere…
And yes, you are right, this website is not a place for this discussion, but when I see something that I disagree with, and somewhat insults me, Im not one to keep my mouth shut either…I do not feel like anyone owes me anything, nor do I ask anything in return for what I have done and do now for my country…but when people question, or insult me about my line of work, I will speak my mind. And as for not posting alot here on the site either, I guess that equates to me being inferior to the rest of the full timers here on the website…So, not to be an ass, I was just responding to what I was a stupid remark…This entire site is full of them, and I have made many myself…I’m sure you are a great guy, and yes, I probably took you comment the wrong way, and I sincverely apologize if I did…wit hthat being said, thanks for the good wishes!! Have a good afternoon man…Troy

Trust me, while your pinned down taking enemy fire and you call in for air support and you hear a jets afterburner crackin the air overhead would be the most liberating sound you could ever ask for. I haven’t experienced that first hand in actual combat, but I have trained in a similar scenario where it still makes the hair stand up on your body.
Troy, what Team were you with? I was a SOG at POMFLANT (NWS Charleston) in the late 80’s. We, the Marine detatchment, got to cross train with Team 6 and those crazy SOB’s from RED CELL. I saw one SEAL swim from Pier C, all the way to Pier X (next to the boat ramp) against the current in March. this was in a training match, and the SEALS kicked our ass. I have never seen anyone go over a chain link fence like a SEAL. send me an E-mail when you get back, and this Jarhead will buy you a beer.

No need to yak on and on about this crap on this “fishing site”. Lets get back to fishing. Good on the civilian contractors for being there (prior military or not)-(for the money or not).
I have personally witnessed enough S…t while serving there…good news is that country is a hell of lot better shape than it was 5 years ago.
23 SF, I’m w/ you on the “keeping mouth shut” for OPSEC.
God bless America, and God bless are fallen Marines and service members.
Now…back to fishin…Sat forecast looks good. (But my son has little league baseball chamionship game @1100)

Ricky, if you and Jeremy have not been through "Tiger by the Tail School", I'd suggest treading lightly with Mr. Pusateri. If he wishes to pound his chest, so be it. He's reely earned it. Why don't you guys jump on the wannabe noitall who says he's gunna show us his billfish when he gets back from the sandbox? He's so full of bovine manure.
Sea Gull, i hear ya man. it’s a fishing site, got a grouper in that grady yet? Love to help you sometime this summer. This weekend looks nice, but like you, can’t fish. Riding my 3 different color just put back together bike @ CMP. Oh sorry, it’s a fishing site. Good luck to your son in his game. Ohchit, there i go again.
Premix, remember, “we clubbed it to death and uses it for crab bait”. Don’t want to break any of our brilliant laws. Congrats to the young man and his first sail.

The only point I was making was that the guys I know personally don’t feel the need to bring it up in casual conversation. Like I said, maybe they are just different types of peeople; I don’t know. I’m not knocking ktpus, I appreciate and respect his loyalty to this great countr

I am sure i will catch a rash for this. I take a lot of crap from you guys when I post just because of my name and proud of it but for what its worth when i get back from Iraq and I go out on my boat and if I am lucky enough to catch a sail because I have not yet I am going to shoot a home movie and post it on here just to watch everyone in there mother give there 2 cents about what is right and what is wrong. So now that I am done start wailing away at me.

Lots of people have earned that right, but choose not to bring it up, myself included. Like Sells, I’ve worked closely with SEALS and respect what they do.
It’s just fun to ruffle feathers on people who don’t seem to be able to take a little ribbing, exempli gratia ktpusateri.
