Great catch!! The out of the water pic has been argued to no end on this site. SO, to be legal please leave this pic up and change the above quote to read. Sailfish was kept and cut up for chum… Wait it is illegal to clean a fish at sea, Sailfish was kept and sold for food… Wait, unless you have a commercial license it is illegal to sell it. Sailfish was kept, brought home, cut into pieces and put into crab trap. There that is perfectly legal and the internet police can have no issues with it.

On second thought. 8 posts, no info about the catch, people are different in both pics, bringing home big hauls of dolphin and pics of sailfish out of the water. Smells like an alias trying to kick the ole CF.com hornets nest.

fish looks fine to me. they beat themselves senseless half the time in the water on the side of the boat anyways, i see no problem unless the fish was injured or in a tournament, in which case it should not be brought into the boat.

I am sure i will catch a rash for this. I take a lot of crap from you guys when I post just because of my name and proud of it but for what its worth when i get back from Iraq and I go out on my boat and if I am lucky enough to catch a sail because I have not yet I am going to shoot a home movie and post it on here just to watch everyone in there mother give there 2 cents about what is right and what is wrong. So now that I am done start wailing away at me.

Hey, very nice day. With regards to the Sail: Billfish have a “pellicle” on their skin that protects them. Any sort of handling will damage the protective coating. I am not attempting to beleagure you at all as I would have killed it for smoked meat (very tasty). However, if you intend to be a conservationist, don’t touch them and never take them out of the water for a picture like that,
