Tubes as bait for largemouth?

I posted this in the “freshwater” forum, and realize that I may have posted in the wrong forum. So here it is:

I’m a novice fisherman, and have a question.

I’ve seen tubes used as bait for smallmouth on various tv shows.

I used a tube with a jighead inside it yesterday and caught 3 largemouth in a small lake in Oconee County.

Are tubes generally recognized as being good for catching largemouth? Or are tubes primarily for catching smallmouth? Was my experience yesterday normal or out of the ordinary (catching 3 largemouth on a tube)?

Thanks for any input.

Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…

TUBES WILL CATCH ANYTHING… IVE CAUGHT BASS ON THEM FISHING THEM LIKE A WORM, LIKE A JIG, AND LIKE A FROG ON TOP THE WATER… EVEN CAUGHT A 4LB CRAPPIE ON ONE ONE TIME… THOUGHT I HAD ME A BIG OLE BASS

I have also heard of tubes being used for the big-mouths - never used any myself, though.

Tubes are great for largemouth, I like to use them for flipping in weed pockets.
