What a bummer. Last week I was on the fish, this week it’s totally different. We were set with down lines tues pm and headed for the towers. Cut the motor off 40 yards from the end tower and using trolling motor eased up to within 20 yards of the tower when some guy comes flying in there right in front of me. His wake rocked us around and I yelled “Hey if you wanted my spot that bad, I would have givin it to you”. He said " your Spot?" Anyway, thanks for the wake. The guy was from NC, 19’ CC with 4 men on board. I was steaming pretty good. Seems like I allways see people from NC acting crazy on Lake Murray. I guess the long drive gives them a do or die attitude (road rage). No biggy for me, I live 1.5 miles from the lake. I’ll come back another day. Last week it was a guy from NC pulling trolling lines spitting distance from down line fisherman, snagging the down line.
I’m done with live bait. We only caught 2 peanuts Tues, OOO Goose egged Wed morning. We did see schooling activity and more fish near the surface. I’d rather fish artificial anyway. I love casking.
Well, sorry for my bad attitude. I’m just tired of fighting the traffic, expecially rude people from NC. This is not directed to the fine people here from NC. Maybe you guys can teach your neigbors how to be nice fisherman. Sorry for the long post.
