Capt John Fuss of Holy City Charters called and wanted to try for some sheeps today but we would toss some arties til the tide dropped…He had a bag of trout tricks…They work. We drifted down the bank tossing the tricks towards shore and working them back to the boat,I really dont know how many trout we got…For several hours, every few casts,we had a trout, Sheeping was slow but we landed a few nice ones.
That fish would look 10x bigger in anyone else’s hands…so must have Been huge!

Captain John and Captain Mike,
Thanks again for having me along. I had a great time and caught my first trout and flounder on artificials. I learned more from y’all in a few hours than I could learn in a year on my own. Coolest part of the day was watching that 9 LB. pig of a sheepshead come over the rail!
If any of y’all are looking for some good fishing, I’d HIGHLY recommend Captains John and Mike. Great fisherman and even better people.

Enjoyed fishing with you too Bart…perhaps next time, we can fish my neck of the woods and put you on some sheeps… the bite yesterday in the harbor was really slow which makes catching them that much harder.
conservatively 50+ trout. Pretty confident that had we stayed with the trout instead of sheeps we’d have doubled that.
