Tuesday pm on Murray

I got a late start after supper and traveled up on the dam and saw boats, boats, more boats than I could count. Apparently the word is out on the stripers. I was dumbfounded how many boats I saw. It reminded me of the view from the Cooper river bridge at night during shrimping season. My daughter and I was going to try to find schooling stripers and try gigging catfish after dark. No luck with the schoolers, and the water was kinda muddy for gigging. We did see numerous large carp in 1 ft of water. Anyway, we spent some quality family time on the water. It dont get too much better. Lake Murray has some awesome sunsets.

It is called the internet. No one has to go out and find their own fish anymore, all they have to do is sit behind the computer and wait for someone to give them exact GPS #'s, depth, what color lure, exact time of day, etc., etc., etc… Sometimes too much info can be a bad thing…
