tumor face doe

so i figured i’d grab the 1100 this morning and go sit in my ladder stand behind the house and listen to dogs and people hootin and hollerin. was a pretty quiet morning though. i did hear some dogs and drivers but they were pretty far away. about 9:00 i hear a deer blow behind me and see this doe trotting along the edge of the cut down. she turns and heads my way and i can tell it’s the old “tumor face” doe i had on camera few times. she looked like she was limping or moving kinda funny, plus that knot on her face was swinging around. felt bad for her so i decided to take her out. she never looked up as she made it to about 10yds from me, she took a full load a 2 3/4" 00 buckshot behind the shoulder and dropped dead on the spot. the growth is dangling by skin just above the eye and hard like cartilage. other than that, she looks pretty healthy.
