How so?
Are you still mad about me warning you not to buy a $2k bottom machine from someone selling through a bogus ebay account?

edisto-fisher,
I’m with you. Great photo…but I seriously doubt it was very recent.
No harm done, though.

this was a while ago… atleast a few months ago…
All that noise without looking at the post dates…
However, look at Oregon inlets fishing reports, and you
will see YF’s on the deck today.
I fished on the Point Runner in May. We caught 8 nice YF. They have continued to catch nice tuna both Big eye and YF. Oregon Inlet is not Charleston.
Just because you can’t catch em doesn’t mean it isn’t happening at the outer banks
Here are photos of three trips they have made so far this August.
and one trip on July 26

I thought tuna season was a business term.

Although greg doesn’t want to search tuna reports from the past, he spent significant time searching for this thread so that he could bump this one back up to the top for a reason.
He is trying to “prove” to us that these tuna are inhabitants of Charleston waters year round and all you have to do is switch up your techniquest a little to catch them. He doesn’t believe that they move in an out of our waters like every other species of fish. He thinks that instead of balleyhoo, chunking, greensticks and kites, you should possibly try things like nightcrawlers, wasp larvae, mole crickets and chicken legs. It’s perhaps that their feeding patterns change during the year and that all the charter boats don’t know that they are still here since they are in other parts of the world chasing conch fritters and spiney lobsters.
I just this was a funny thread.
It got even funnier when some people thought PQ was trying to pass it off as a recent report from Charleston.
Why didn’t you spend that time searching for “tuna season”? The data is there.
I’ll research tuna season this afternoon.
You be working on Wahoo and Sailfish seasons.
If tuna are just like every other fish off charleston then I guess every pelagic fish here has a season.

Don’t knock Chicken legs. I personally know chicken bones have caught grouper, tuna, and swordfish.
The long and short of it is that tuna doesn’t freeze worth shat anyway. I would rather eat a corey any day. I was shating bricks trying to give away loins back in May because frozen tuna sucks!!
