Had 8 Nice Yellowfins on Sat. I sent SkinneeJ some pic’s to post Hope they go thru. Jason call me if they don’t come thru your email. Going again on sunday. Still hoping to SEE a blue marlin. This year has been odd with yellowfin still here in the quantity and quality they have shown and the lack of billfish. Learned a new way of enticing a yellowfin. Chris Stine(mate) put a chrome spoon on a about 100 ft of 120lb mono followed by a 3 lb lead weight held on by clips that you can attach/detach. When you mark the yellowfin. Put out the spoon, Stop the boat, start jigging real hard. Then while jigging you get your hit start slow trolling speed to keep the tuna on. It works. Some of these 50lbers were caught this way while boats around us were silent. Try it next time when you are seeing(marking) the tuna but they will not bite. Good luck Come on up and charter Jesse and Chris they could show you how it’s done. www.biopsea.com

I HAVE NEVER BEEN UP THERE TO FISH. WHERE ARE YOU LEAVING FROM AND HOW FAR OUT OR DEEP ARE YOU GOING?

I’ll be up there based out of Ocrakoke next week. I can’t wait. I was hoping for a mixed bag, but tuna will fit the bill nicely…haha

Just rub it in why dont ya!:sunglasses:

28ft luhr’s with twin 260 yanmar’s

They don’t care how we do it up here…

Had three yellowfin today with a released white. Fishing was red hot yesterday, Jesse and Chris put 13 tuna in the box and the 7th had 5 tuna and about 20 dolphin. More whites are showing up here and the sails have made an apperance in Hatteras. Going to troll for Billfish tomorrow. Check the website for the pictures from the last few days. Jeff, hope to have the tuna ready for you on the 13th. www.biopsea.com

Callin in We leave from Pirates Cove Marina and go out Oregon Inlet Fishing is usually about 30 miles out but depends on what your looking for (tuna,Billfish,Dolphin) Can be closer for meatfish,(25-30miles) or up to 70-80 miles for billfish(Virginia Beach). Billfish have been closer as of late.

23, Pathologyman has done quite a bit of fishing out of Charleston over the years and a good number of folks from SC fish them out of Pirate’s Cove. Not too much of a stretch for him to be posting here. Lot’s of folks like to keep up with what is going on up there.

Nice to see your still tearing up the fish, Dell. Even if your fishing out of NC now.

Eroticism is when you use a feather,
Pornography is when you use a whole chicken.

Good report Pathologyman. I bet the 10 yr old tells the story everyday and the fish gets bigger with every version of the story. Way to go. Thats what it is all about!!!
