I know this is probably a lost cause topic but gonna go for it anyways. I live on James Island and have zero connections for hunting the greater charleston area, but I absolutely LOVE to turkey hunt. Just looking for anybody that has land that doesnt turkey hunt or just wants a calling companion to go with. I dont even really care about shooting the birds, my passion is calling them up for others. Im by no means a professional, but i have called in my fair share of birds that have met their maker. I guess I’m not getting the point of the last two replies…I don’t see anywhere in my post where it asks for smart ass not constructive responses. Thanks cam for understanding what the post was about.

Not trying to be a jerk but turkey hunters are a tight lipped group, even in taking someone with them, you would have a better chance asking for coordinates of a bream bed or shrimping hole. Grab a WMA map and put some boot leather to the ground.

I definitely am not asking a seasoned turkey hunter to give me his spot or “take me hunting”. I guess what I was looking for was the deer hunting landowner that doesnt turkey hunt or a novice that wanted somebody exerienced to help him out and maybe teach him a thing or two. Trust me I know how light lipped hunters are, thats why i prefaced the post how i did. Ive done the public land thing before and had run ins that i dont care to have again with another armed jerk (hunter). ive seen slashed tires and trucks blocked in all day because you got to “their spot” before they did…not cool at all.

Wow, seems like your getting some good responses!
I hate to be “that guy” but I don’t know where else to ask this… but my dad and I(teenager) haven’t really hunted much and are starting to. We will be hunting the FMNF most likely every Saturday and my buddies hunt club once or twice. If anybody else wants maybe invite us along for a turkey hunt that would be absolutely wonderful. If not, not a huge deal, but it would be nice. Thanks for the read.
