Bah, this sucks.
The more i think about it, i cant remember the last time i turned around due to weather, mostly because i only fish when its flat. To tell you the truth i was a little shocked. i was like wow i just got b@#$% slapped lol.
It was pretty messy out there. We were out in a friend’s boat at Folly and we tried out in the Stono inlet. Bounced us around quite a bit and we were still in a semi wind-protected area, I can imagine you guys offshore would have had a rough day.

The bite was slow. We fish a 61’ Davis and it was rough. It laid out beautifully, but I would have never gone had it not been a customer trip.

26’ Regulator, Twin 250s “On da Reg”
It was sloppy but fishable. We pulled up at 90’and ended the day with a good box of fish including some lost mahi. After lunch it spaced out and was quite nice.
We stuck it out and boxed em up…
^same here…the ride home was worth it.
went south… ride was decent…Missed a peanut early then got a 25# dolphin in 270ft around 11am.
nothing until 1.30 in 350ft…picked up 2 phins around 20# and 2 peanuts. missed another 2.
hit the ledge looking for a hoo…nada…ran home at 35kts on smooth sea.
slow but always good to be on the ocean.

Same here but all mine were due to a mix of stubbornness and stupidity
